Happy Independence Day !

मेरा देश मेरा मुल्क़ मेरा ये वतन
शांति का उन्नति का प्यार का चमन ...

While I was getting ready for a small Independence  day celebration at my workplace , these famous lines struck few thoughts in my head....

Amidst all the negativity spilled over by the news channels in our living rooms;
Amidst all the day to day challenges (from population to poverty to  politics to pollution ) faced by us which make us feel miserable about the socio-political issues of our country, about our capacities and incapacities to handle the complex problems;
We all have a spark in us to give a tough fight to all these deterring radicals.
The spark gets subdued at times , lost at times , but there is something in the ethos which doesn't let this 'will' perish even in the hardest of times.
This killer instinct was the biggest gift of our great freedom fighters who freed our country 69 years back , not just from British but from subduance, from misery, from inferiority , from oppression, and I must admit the gift was well received .The survival spirit of this free nation continues to flourish. Let us pledge on this day to preserve this gift and cause the change we wish to see around; be it of liberty, be it of security, be it of undaunted aspirations,be it of struggle against the anti-growth and regressive elements,
Let's take those baby steps towards our Dream India. I believe there are many things we can do at a personal level to cause the change.Two that I see as most important

  • Waste less resources => enough economic problems would be solved.
  • Be more Endurant >patient of other's views => enough social imbalance can be checked.
Lets be the solution not a part of the problem.Lets be the solvent and precipitate all the regressive elements. Lets be more thoughtful and less sensitive.
Let's not forget the sacrifice of our forefathers after the festivities end. day .It was not just a day,but a lifetime of struggle of the radicals against the things they disapproved .Sure it was the end of the struggle against the Oppression caused by British but it also marked the start of an internal & individual struggle for RamRajya .From Godmen to policemen to politicians today,  they are all a reflection of our society, a reflection of us. No society is born perfect , the imperfections have to be mended. The Onus lies on us...

The colours of my life :)

Your happiness reflects in my eyes ;my sorrows in yours
your success as pride in mine ; and my failures as pain in yours.
We share a special bond not bonded by birth or any special vows
but a silent acceptance that we showed to each other
in our every form,
in our every fall and our every rise.
Bonded by the coffee we shared, the tiffins we snatched,
the exams we failed, the sports we played, the fights we had, the silly jokes we cracked.
I have shattered in your arms, Cried on your shoulders.
You shared my worst fears , confided my dark secrets.

 You allowed the worst come out of me, because no body else was patient enough.
Also let the best come out of me coz u could see through me.
Your acceptance has made me the person I am.
It showed me the various colours in life.
The colour of anger, the colour of  love,
of happiness and despair, of ecstasy and dullness ,of blacks and blues.
Your colours reflect in my personality as mine in yours.

Thank you for being a part of me :)
Happy Friends Day !

Home land to Metropolis!

I am a citizen who has been forced out of her city,where I spent 20 odd years of my life...not by direct force but by surrounding ecosystem which was deprived of growth,development by the very honourable government.
I was lucky enough to get a job outside but am not lucky enough to be in the city which I have always called mine,not lucky enough to be around my old  parents (stretched my definition of around ~ 500 km), not lucky enough to have some basic choices in life.Should I not have a choice like my lucky counterparts from cities like Delhi, Bombay, Bangalore,Hyderabad,Ahemdabad of choosing to settle around my home town, Lucknow.I know my expectations to compare my town to the metros, might sound weird to many others but should I not have even one single city in my State which can give me a decent job,a decent growth prone ecosystem .While my state (UP) has produced 8 out of 14 Prime minister's of India and has been a hub of politicians,sadly it has failed to produce even one leader like Chandrababu Naidu, SM krishna, Narendra Modi  who could seek for development of the state instead of making it a dirty Hamam of low grade politics;Any leader who could be corporate friendly ,development friendly?

The bhaiya's and bhaiyan's of UP are there in each and every business across the length and breadth of the country doing amazing stuff but sadly have been alienated in their home grounds.Clearly there is no problem with the breed(other than the politicians of course) .But what to do.. never got a playing field there .. sadly .

How far can the big cities embrace us(people from all the underdeveloped states) .How long can this influx out-flux happen.Should the Brownian movement of resources not be fair across the country instead of creating an avalanche in 4,5 locations? The whole ecosystem gets disturbed.
These big cities are dying a premature death due to infrastructure overload, jammed from every angle, making the quality of life miserable there.

I can understand the infrastructural  challenges of north eastern states and state of J& K but what about the other states ? I can just hope that the idea of smart cities materialises else once again a hope will die . A hope for a better India, a better state, a better city , a better village and a better home where I want to return every evening :)

{This article is for everyone living far away from his/her home becoz of dirth of opportunities there.}

कहाँ जाऊं ,ये कैसा उल्झन भरा मंज़र है ,एक शहर नौकरी दूसरे शहर घर है !
